AFFI Award for the best thesis defended in Corporate finance in a French educational establishment.
Every two years, the French Finance Association (AFFI) awards a prize for the best doctoral thesis in corporate finance. The purpose of this prize is to recognise a doctoral thesis defended in the two preceding years at a French university or higher education institution.
This prize recognises theoretical, empirical, experimental or historical work relating to corporate finance in the broadest sense. The work may cover, amongst other topics, corporate financial policy, entrepreneurial finance, mergers and acquisitions, the disclosure of financial and non-financial information, corporate governance, and corporate valuation…
This year’s jury is chaired by Professor Pascal François (Professor at HEC Montréal). The other members of the jury are Professors Paul Beaumont (McGill University), Edith Ginglinger (Paris-Dauphine University) and Anaïs Hamelin (University of Strasbourg and EM Strasbourg).
The prize will be awarded at the AFFI conference taking place in Clermont-Ferrand on 1, 2 and 3 June 2026.
In order to apply, send the two pre-defence reports, the jury’s report and the thesis, no later than 22 March 2026, in electronic format to pascal (dot) francois (at) hec.ca
